Meet the Author Behind Hearth & Hound Books

Heartfelt stories inspired by life, love, and a little imagination.

I’m Deanna Jennings, author and founder of Hearth & Hound Books. I’ve always believed stories have a special way of bringing people together— making us laugh, warming our hearts, and reminding us of the things that matter the most.

My first children’s book, Meet Bentley Boo, was inspired by my real—life sidekick, Bentley—a little dog with a big personality, a signature mohawk, and an impressive collection of bow ties. His adventures were the beginning of a new chapter for me as an author, with more stories, characters, and ideas still to come.

Hearth & Hound Books is a home for stories with heart. It began with my own journey as an author, but I hope it will grow into a place where meaningful stories—and the people who create them—can be celebrated and shared.

Whether a story is inspired by real life or entirely by imagination, I believe the best ones make us feel something, connect us to one another, and stay with us long after the last page.
